Wildcats split road contests
On Saturday, the ‘Cats trekked down to Pasadena to take on
NCAA Division III's California Institute of Technology. The battle
between the Beavers and Wildcats proved to be a back and forth
battle all the way to the final buzzer. The Wildcats used Cal Tech
turnovers to their advantage netting 31 points to the Beaver's 14.
The ‘Cats also showed they wouldn't give up with 19 second
chance points and 24 points in the paint. By the end, JWU's efforts
were rewarded with a 70-61 victory powered by a stellar performance
by junior Sarah FitzPatrick (Colorado Springs, CO) who contributed
20 points and brought down 9 rebounds.
The Wildcats return home hosting on back to back nights as they
welcome South Dakota School of Mines on Friday at 7pm and Peru
State on Saturday at 5pm.
