DENVER – Shaylee Andreatta set career highs with 11 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double as a Wildcat, but it wasn't enough for the Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team in a 82-60 home loss to visiting Schreiner on Saturday at the Wildcat Center.

Katey Guzman scored 15 points to lead the Wildcats in their first-ever SCAC conference home game. Brianna Bailey finished with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists and Salma Oros added seven points for JWU Denver (0-9, 0-4).

Miranda Vallejo totaled 17 points off the bench to lead the Mountaineers (1-10, 1-1), who earned their first win of the season after shooting 51.6 percent from the floor.

Schreiner scored the first five points of the game before a 3-pointer by Ashley Mortensen cut the deficit to 8-7 with 3:43 to go in the opening quarter. The Mountaineers scored the final four points of the frame to take a 12-7 lead before going up 42-28 at halftime.

The Wildcats trailed by 30 heading to the fourth but were able to get within 20 twice before the final horn.
