COLORADO SPRINGS - The Johnson & Wales University men's track & field team returned to competition Saturday the the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite.
The Wildcats had four top-10 finishers in the 3,000-meter run, led by seniors John Jacob (fourth, 9:19.09) and Bryce Moore (sixth, 9:32.12). Sophomore Noah Llerandi finished ninth in 10:28.96 while freshman Keenan Rimbert was 10th with a time of 10:43.38.
The Wildcats also had a trio of runners in the mile, led by freshman Oticio Herrera's 10th place finish in 5:16.97. Sophomore Cody Lane was 13th in the mile (5:51.89), followed by classmate Evan Salazar in 14th (6:08.11).
Freshman Albara Mutleq made his track debut at JWU, placing 13th in the 400 with a time of 59.33. Freshman Gavin Case ran the 60 dash in 7.60 to pace 43rd.
