WIDEFIELD, CO - Seniors John Jacob and Bryce Moore made their final cross country race as Wildcats a memorable one as both members of the Johnson & Wales University men's cross country team turned in all-conference performances at Saturday's SCAC Championships.

Relying on a strong final lap, Jacob led the way with a fourth-place finish with a time of 26 minutes, 26.3 seconds at Widick Park. Moore followed in 12th place with a time of 27:18.0. The top 14 runners in the race receive all-SCAC honors.

"We're a small team, but we've got a lot of heart. That's really what I've been trying to prove this whole season," Jacob said. "This whole cross country season's been really fun competing how we did. Coming here and being fourth in the conference was a great feeling."

Junior Emad Bashir-Mohammed made his season debut for JWU Denver and came on strong toward the end to place 29th in 28:42.1. It was busy weekend for Bashir-Mohammed, who had little rest after playing in the Wildcat men's soccer game Friday evening at Colorado College.

Sophomore Noah Llerandi and freshman Keenan Rimbert packed together and finished back-to-back, in 42nd and 43rd place, respectively. Llerandi clocked in at 30:19.3 while Rimbert crossed in 30:28.8.

Sophomore Evan Salazar rounded out the day for the Wildcats, who finished fourth as as team with a score of 107. Salazar finished in 35:38.7 to place 67th.
